After Cyclone Idai caused catastrophic damage on the continent, the C295 was used in a relief response that included operations to Espungabera, Mozambique. Landing on a short and rough airstrip on a side of a mountain, the airlifter was used to in bring food and supplies to the town cut off by the natural disaster.
